 Rainchecks
If for any reason an advertised product is not readily available to you, Sight & sound will issue a raincheck for that same product (or similar product of equivalent value) at the originally advertised price. Rainchecks do not apply on clearance-priced items.
Price Protection
If you make a purchase and within 30 days find the same product advertised for less - either by us or by another authorized, local-stocking dealer - we will promptly refund the difference. To take advantage of this offer, simply bring in your original Sight & Sound sales receipt with a copy of the particular "Lowest Price" advertisement.
This policy does not include clearance-priced or demonstrator items.
Delivery And Installation
All complete component systems purchased from Sight & Sound will be delivered and/or installed at the customers request on a mutually pre-arranged day. This free service includes all deliveries and installations within Sight & Sound's service area. Custom component installations (those requiring hidden wiring, drilling or elaborate installation methods) may be arranged by appointment as "extra work" at current shop rates.
Trade-Ups
Should you, within 6 months of your original purchase, decide to upgrade your existing equipment for new equipment of greater value, you may trade in the original equipment for it's full , original purchase price and apply it against the manufacturer's suggested list price of your new equipment. Equipment valued under $200.00 is not eligible for trade-ups. Returned goods must be in "like-new" condition and be accompanied by all original packing materials.
Refunds
Should you be dissatisfied with any purchase and return it within 7 days, Sight & Sound will promptly refund the full purchase price. Returned goods must be in "like-new" condition and be accompanied by all original packing materials, blank warrantee cards, instruction manuals and original sales receipts.
Exchanges
Should, within 30 days of purchase, any product be found unsuitable to your needs, you may return it for a full purchase credit. This exchange credit then may be applied against the full purchase price of any merchandise in our store. Any remaining surplus will be retained for use for a period of one year. Returned goods must be in "like-new" condition and be accompanied by all original packing materials.
Permanent Records On File
As Sight & Sound maintains a computerized file of all warrantee items, we can assist you in the event of loss (fire, theft or other cause) by helping you in documenting any claim you may have to make to your insurer.
Loaners
If for any reason a warranteed item of equipment cannot be repaired within 10 days, Sight & Sound will loan - at no charge - a substitute of our choice for the duration of the repair. As a limited number of "loaners" are available at any given time, this offer is subject to availablity. (Pre-arranging your "loaner" by telephone is advised) All "loaners" must be returned in their original condition or a charge will be levied.
Warrantee Repairs.
Sight & Sound will arrange to repair any product purchased from our stores and covered by a valid warrantee. If a repair facility is not locally available, Sight & Sound will arrange for shipping to the nearest appropriate service outlet.
Non-Warrantee Repairs.
Sight & Sound will make every effort to ensure full repair service is available to customers whose equipment is not covered by a warrantee. A handling and transportation charge will be levied when required. ( Or, at the customers request, Sight & Sound will provide the necessary information - Telephone numbers, addresses, etc - to enable that individual to approach the service outlets directly.).
